NCS Technology Expo

It was great to see how proud the children were of their work on Wednesday when the dinosaur fossil cases were able to be exhibited to the rest of the school.

Room 9 students worked really hard last term on following a technological process to create a display case for their dinosaur 'fossil'.  They began by designing their case, having agreed that it needed to be safe, strong, attractive and the right size.  Then they made their first prototype.  Once they had made their case, the children considered what needed to be modified or kept the same.  Many of them made a second prototype which was better than the first and fitted the brief well.

Bruce, from the Cawthron Institute, was there to interview a few of our budding technologists and the feedback he gave was the children were very articulate when talking about their projects.

Well done, Room 9.  Outstanding work.
