We need a variety of food types from the food pyramid which has three sections.
Green for 'Go' means we can eat lots of these foods all of the time! |
In this section we find fruit and vegetables. breads, cereal, rice and pasta.
Orange for 'slow down' means we can eat these foods some of the time! |
In the middle of the pyramid we find milk, cheese and yoghurts, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, dried peas and beans.
Red for 'Stop" means we should eat a little of these foods and NOT all the time! |
