Wacky Hair Day & Roger Saunders Story Teller

We've had two exciting Friday's in Room 9. Last week we came to school with Wacky Hair!!  This was to raise money for some sensory equipment that is needed for students with special needs.

Then today we were treated to Nelson's favourite story teller, Roger Saunders.  He captivated the audience in a very hot Arts Centre.  What a lovely way to finish off the week!

We worked together to write about the visit from Roger Saunders, the Story Teller.  Here is what we wrote.

On Friday Room 9, our Syndicate and some younger children listened to the story teller, Roger Saunders.  Roger told us two long stories.  One was about a woman and a sausage on her nose who met a magical little green creature who borrowed a saucepan.  The stories were exciting and silly and we were glad to be sitting on our own cushions.  The temperature was extreme.  Hotter than boiling lava!  We loved the stories he told.  Roger did an outstanding job!
